Oakland book club discussing God Help the Child and Killing the Black Body will meet up at Oakland Public Library on Saturday. Free!
Sour Cherry Book Fair Pop Up, San Francisco, 1 pm - 5 pm
Queer-owned comic book store Sour Cherry Comics is having a little pop up event on Saturday, feat. local artists, books, raffles, etc. Free entry.
Oyatsu Pop Up Event, San Francisco, 3 pm - 6 pm
Neighbor’s Corner is hosting an oyatsu party, a term I had to Google and learned the following: The term "oyatsu" (おやつ) refers to an afternoon snack that was originally eaten at yatsudoki (approximately 2 p.m.) according to the old Japanese way of counting time.” This event will have tea and pastries and other yummy things. Free entry.
Ice Cream Pop Up, Oakland, 3 pm - 7 pm
Crisis Club Gallery is hosting an ice cream pop up event! This is part of the SSWANA art show and will include some Persian ice cream flavors. Free entry.
Sunday, September 25
Multiples Zine Fair, Oakland, 12 pm - 6 pm
Zine and craft fair at Lovely’s and Two Pitchers! Many vendors and a DJ will be there. Free entry.
Layered Cake Market, San Francisco, 2 pm - 6 pm
Mothership in SF is hosting a vintage and makers fair on Sunday, with a bunch of ceramics, art, and vintage vendors. Free entry (21+).
Rollin’ with the Homos, Oakland, 3 pm - 7 pm
My fave Oakland event is back! Outdoor skating at Rollin’ with the Homos, with drag performances etc. Suggested donations can be paid via Venmo but free to enter.
